Maybe in and out map in SEKTOR1 ?

I keep in mind that Sektor is one large underground facility seperated in se(c)ktors. U keep going on till u end at Sektor0;.. But i never get so far

If I remember right, after making SEKTOR9, you said that there will be only three SEKTORs.

You misunderstood me a bit, not four but three. Three including SEKTOR9.

So VK, don't you remember saying something like that?

The new name is SEKTOR9, and yes with a K!. But the signs are still ingame ofcourse, and it is TechCom exclusive! Maybe on future maps i can start from the name en build a trilogy.

Euh, u got me

I remember that, i said it a couple days ago on a Pm to foibos- i called it (codename) SEKTOR7-THE-TRILOGY
I think my mind what to keep built further and further on this, but my brain says no .. ..

And even if there will be a s6 than it is a Quadrilogy ..

I will see what time bring, but i can say, this is not the end. (My mind is talking know) shht
And if i can go back in time and never learned mapping, i never had this discussion and never had a friend like Krusty (omg this is going to far, where the is that delete button)

But for now it is an TRILOGY!

I really like your approaches on the maps and especially the whole concept with the sektors being somewhat in a same facility and yet they all differ from one another.

sektor 7 is less spam than the other two! which is good... and on the first 2 runs the games weren't too short and if I remember right we even had a sorta comeback at the 2nd time the map was player (when ppl already knew more or less where the nodes are etc pp)

the ion is the most powerful vehicle in it, maybe too powerful? one could really really spam the shit out of a corridor... fortunately some intelligent attacks from the side/behind should get it down...

what people seem to not like so far:

- minimap got to be improved, personally I think a light grey as a basic color instead of that dark one would be better... that way you could finally see where the walls and stuff =P
- the big vehicle elevators are nice to have, but also very slow and were very rarely used!
- hardly any player found node 1! and even after you told us where to look for the tele, it took another good 2-3 mins to find it. once you knew where it was, it was okay... so maybe that's just because the map is so brandnew...
BUT: the corridors from 2/3 to node 1 are VERY long and very empty. nowhere to hide there and ppl got mawed down by the badger you placed up there when using the teleporter, making it incredible hard to regain node 1.... maybe you should remove the badger from up there or add some boxes or stuff to cover.
either way, there's gotta be another (not so hidden) way to get to that node so that the casual player can find that / attack it and help his team! as for now only 1-2 guys know how to attack it (and where confronted by teleporter-spamming badger guys...)
- there are some bugs at nodes 2/3... once I tried to defend it with paladin but got moved on that conveyor band with the pala in a somewhat upright position without being able to shoot or anything...
so that pala there is good for defence in theory but with that conveyor belt very hard to do so.
what is more, when one get's all the way to that node which is the nearest core node, trying to avoid enemy fire and dodging those rockets for your life, you easily jump too "far" towards the end of the band and SWOOSH you are dead =/
maybe it would be better to just put a wall there =)


that is everything as I remember it, more will follow throughout the next session in sektor7 I guess...

but overall I really like the map and those are just tiny problems! (=

this maps rocks, but like thom said,

1) finding node 1 is really hard
2) vehicles elevator are too slow and too fast : u must wait for them 30 seconds, and two players can't take it (vk, U see what I mean ? )

Also, I don't really like link setup. but that's pesonal.
