If we have a problem, it's not our maplist (thanks to this list we've become popular, don't you remember?), but our position - ping (and this could be changed only by donations... check them). There is not only one very poor, unplayable map, only few that could be better (Wintercombat with impossible comebacks, boring Echo and DarkMarsh). Ah, if you see that some other server has more players than we have, it's because of the maps? Rarely. It's because of simple rule, that players attract players (and that's why I'm sometimes pissed off seeing the * guys ignoring their base server). Spiff-TSE could be removed, one of the Tyrant too, the same about Volcano. I don't see your point, why you want some tiny maplist which will be overplayed quickly, if the less popular maps aren't played anyway - wanna delete all maps you hate? But the others like them, if they're being voted.
Edit: The good old days of this game are gone, now only few 32 ppl onslaught servers remain active. In whole America just 2 (!) and in Europe the same (we're one of them). However there isn't enough players to fill both of us and that's why we are sometimes empty and sometimes full (especially if the second one has almost the same maplist). Don't look for heavy problems, especially with the maps. Ice, if you wanna change something, change the Wintercombat.

First of all - it's 3 PM in the afternoon - people actually have to work or go to school or whatever! It is just natural that the server's peak isn't during the day.
I also don't know why we should get rid of maps that are not voted often... What's wrong with them being there and votable? If you don't like them, you won't vote them... They aren't slowing down the server or anything. Somehow I have the slight feeling that lots of you never really played those oldschool map and read the name and don't know what they look like at all. That happens to me as well! But that ain't a reason to delete them, is it? A growing number of players on the other hand is getting bored some of the popular maps, not due to the maps themselves, but because people consistently go for the maps weak spots, i.e. overpowered vehicles and weapons, not caring about their team at all. They don't let others have a try with the vehicle, even when they waste it, they don't take passengers or even heal... How are new guys suppose to get better when you don't give them a try? Of course it is annoying at times but we should cool down then and instead of complaining telling them what to do better. That way, we really can not only attract new players but actually make them to join our server again! ![]() |

But the inconvenient is that when they vote for those maps, the "regular player" (U include thom, don't say that u will play on dryIce for instance :p) leave the server, and once new players see that they are alone on the server, they leave it also.
That what should happened this afternoon with DryIce I guess ... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

you are so totally WRONG! I only leave the server when I really need to leave, not because of the map that is voted.
I play Dria, Halo, DryIce, Magnanimous, hell even Ahebban, chainsisle1 or ScorpionCanyon! it doesn't have too be a high pph map, totally not. on the contrary, i even start to vote for those maps occasionally lately since they bring some change and are somewhat refreshing and relaxing from those maps where you only live for some seconds before you get killed! so don't accuse me to do sth that is not true. thx. ![]() |

It's ridiculous... I tried to line only those maps out that are by nature overplayed or just have unfair gameplay to get people to vote more classic maps and even the number of )o(s vs the number of classics and then Snake comes and vote anything out that's not )o( or PPH hell and then Rasp comes and just votes all the good classics out because they are currently not played…

Actually crusha, u can remove the )o( maps, I only like hell pph maps. Obviously, most )o('s maps got good pph, but I don't like home sweet home for instance. Low pph generally mean boring ...

How about resetting the vote history and evaluating it after a set amount of time, e.g. one or a few weeks? Maps that never got any vote could be removed immediately. Other low vote counts should be cross-checked with the game stats - did player count drop significantly after the map was voted? If so and you can't really blame the time of the day, the map should probably be removed.
