We had Airmars long time ago, it was played very often and the only reason why it was removed is that it was played too often.
Then the )o(-version with the Hornets was on the server, but was (thanks God) quickly removed again. I would have no problem with giving the original another go. We have a re-vote limit of 40. ![]() EDIT: When does GameTracker fix this smiley-bug? -.- ![]()

ONS-IslandHop ONS-FS-Killingground ONS-Pandemonium 3) JB maps are fine too. Mute them can be great to play (For example, JB-SavoIsland (an excellent map what should be wonderful in ONS), JB-Isolated) 4)To finish, some AS maps are nice builded and should be mute on ONS maps (AS-Utopia, AS-UCMP3-IslandStrike) I hope you will listen my ideas, i wanna improve the server! 1/3/4) Do you have an idea how much effort it takes to improve an existing ONS map? It will need a lot more effort to convert a non-ONS-map to ONS. You have to find good spots for nodes, find good linksetups and vehicles and to balance everything, just in addition to the normal changes. It's a damn shitload of work that's not worth the effort.
Most CTF-maps are shaped like a line, not like a square, as it would be good for ONS. VCTF-maps might be more suitable, but thanks no, the authors could have implemented an ONS version if they would have wanted one to exist, like VCTF-Suspense. The mappers put their heart into their maps, in most cases would it take a lot of the magic of a map if you just convert it to ONS, especially AS-maps would miss all their scripted stuff. And you would need to get the permission of the author to edit the map, don't think about choosing maps to convert like you were in a supermarket. 2) Green maps have been on the server already: ONS-AirMars -I liked it, but it was overplayed and so removed. ONS-SlatedWorld (with omni vehicules, playable on CEONSS) -We already have plans about that one, don't worry. It will be an improved version, though. ONS-BitchSlap with slap -Get off with that, it's worse than TripleSlap and the author became very narcissistic there. Who would want to play something worse that is even uglier than the original? ONS-Apocalypse -There weren't really battles in that, it was pretty boring. ONS-DeathDome -One of our mappers in spe tried to modify that one, so I know it. It sucks. If you want a 25-yards spamfest, then play Spambox. That one looks at least good. But this is a 100-yards boring hall with such a bad geometry that I would puke if I would be the Unreal Engine and had to render it. There are obvious bugs, thanks no. ONS-Biggerbeerbattle (with or without SSR, but please put it on the server: many players like instagib sometimes) -I liked the SSR, but the map was removed because many players weren't good enough with the SSR to compete with the good ones and so they were frustrated. And there is no need to play this without SSR. ONS-Spacejox (without SSR) -Could be fine without, but I overplayed it already. ONS-Celebis (with omni vehicules) -Dunno. But I would never try to improve a map by omnifying it, that gets in most cases the opposite effect. You actually should design the map to be used with )o( from scratch. ONS-Cinder for some spam -Dunno, thought it would be DM-Cinder or something else… ONS-Crater -Kiddin', eh? Who wouldn't leave this after 5 minutes when you always die immediately after you spawned? Do you associate Techcom with a Spam-Server or why do you propose such senseless stuff? ONS Draor -Dunno. ONS-Eire (very nice map!) -Too small for 32 players, imho. ONS-IslandHop -This map didn't have anything special to keep it and it was not really balanced in terms of comeback. ONS-FS-Killingground -Dunno. ONS-Pandemonium -Boring somehow. And we never found a really good linksetup that makes comeback not impossible. ![]() |

Ons Pademonium please give it a try... (again) Oh, we played spambox-revisited on the Ceons server, better version than original, with great comeback possibilities, tryed and confirmed.

I'm sorry Crusha, i have never mapped and i didn't know how work it was to convert a map...
But when i see Bridge, what is (and i think many people agree) a success, i wanna see other CTF maps improved on ONS (NV) maps. It's you the mapper of the server, and you do what you want, i'm not forcing you (Sorry for the poor english ![]() Otherwise, if i understand well, only one of the maps i proposed will be (maybe) on the server soon? :p What a success! ![]() Have you already seen JB- SavoIsland (i know, i'm a little rude sorry)? And if you don't, how can i send you this map?

Biggerbeerbattle... not sure, its only special thing was the instagibbing and that's exactly why many people hate it... i mean i don't, but we should think about the majority here
Spacejox - YESyesYES! but without the SSR and maybe a different linksetup Spambox-Revisited agree, the redeemers offer a great comeback possibility! but the hellbenders are not necessary at all. Pandemonium is nice cuz it's a little different. but with the standard chess-node-setup not good for a comeback. but i already have an idea, i will post the pic soon) AirMars good with 12,16 - but imo not v good with 32players! but maybe that's just me. alotta ppl like the map so i'm ok with bringing it back. Crater and BitchSlap - oh please no! some of the worst out there ![]() ![]() |
