I have this one now, because my old broke one day.
I miss the old one... it was cheaper and better. The new have either too much or too less dpi and I often get accidentially on the button to increase or decrease the dpi-rate. Also I can't turn those keys of or bind them with a function. They would execute the function, but still change the dpi. |

i can not see your new one. there is no image.
my old (and i use it this moment) is this: it is a good mouse. i never use the 3X click button (the small orange one), but it not troubles me. the only thing is that the scroll button is not spinning very well (i think i have to clean it up) but the annoying thing is that it is slippery. and that rly sucks, coz i often have to change some weapons using the scroll, and the finger runs over it without spinning anything the side buttons sucks too. hard to use one of them

Oh I have A4TECH X7 mouse too, slightly different model (X-705FS), that hasnt troubles with side buttons, cause there is only one, but BIG and handy button!
With kinda rubberized plastik on top. Very handy and pleasantly for hand to hold it! I use it with A4TECH mousepad. Scroll works very fine, maybe Hunt you should realy clean it or something? And by the way X7 series including different mouse sizes according to hand size.

Logitech MX500, had it for years, by far the best mouse I've ever seen. If you could ever find one, get it - you'll be glad you did. It's optical, corded, has 8 configurable buttons and 800dpi reso (pics) and it's run by Logitech's non-shitty MouseWare software compared to what followed with the MX518 and later. I use the small and large thumb buttons for alt-tabbing and opening windows explorer (file manager) respectively, the two scrollwheel proximal ones for fast up/down and the middle finger cushion one for maximizing.
Frankly, it's a damn shame that its production stopped and I've since had a similarly bad experience with the MX518 to Crusha's when I recommended to my brother to buy one since he couldn't find a 500 anywhere and I thought they'd be almost identical. Gimmicky dpi changing buttons that were hard-coded on the mouse's controller circuit and couldn't be configured to do anything else no matter what (besides randomly annoy you during games cause you accidentally hit one and now your aiming's messed up), a total loss of 3 functional buttons for a mouse that still has the exact same frame and buttons the MX500 did! Boy was I wrong there ... Anyways, moral of the story: MX500 rules, MX518 sucks donkey balls. PS: SKOL, that's a gerbil, not a mouse. You should ask for your money back, man, they sold you a fake product!
