ONS-SavoIsland-K is on the server now, thanks to Kentaro and Crusha. The map is well balanced, nodes placement and the link setup with cross nodes is fine for me, the sea needs some fixes, maybe few EONS hoverboards for crossing the water would be nice.

Why does the sea need fixes?
I already expanded it, it was much closer to the beach before. I don't see a need for Hoverboards, you can't really use them here and they only disturb the gameplay. A BlockingVolume prevents you from getting too far out on the sea anyway.

There are two Redeemers in the map, btw. We need to see how it works out with them. I am worried that you get too frustrated when the node that you fought for gets immediately destroyed again.

The sea is weird. Square, without clouds, small, the water is fast. Use the sea from ONS-ChainsIsle2-T32-beta1, ONS-ChainsIsileFinal or ONS-IslandHop. Few hoverboards at sea nodes won't disturb anything, they can make the gameplay more interresting, enlarging the map and enhancing the strategy. But it's just an idea.

It's the style of the map, I already enlarged it to give you the feeling to not be in a box and it worked. You are usually only looking at the beach, not far away. It's fine this way.

And no Hoverboards, they would also be used on the island and are not worth being used on such a short distance.

I also have some boats, but their swimming looks artificial and they are too powerful and fast for such a small map, so you couldn't even really use them.

Let this be a nice and normal NV map.

Map is nice, but I think that there isn't enouhg nodes for a nv map. at least 10 nodes could bring some suspens.

The map is smaller than it looks like. You can't place any further node somewhere without being there in 3 seconds from the other nodes.

A player who get up on the cliffs can shot directly this node!

And for hoverboard, hmm... i have for the moment never played it online so i don't know what need to be improved.
And for the redeemers, let's see... Ryokurey told me some players were already camping it (and sniping while) but i wanna see it myself online

first of all: i really like the design of the map, it's different from others and i also like that there are no mantas or anything.

second thing: kentaro pls don't upload pictures at rapidshare -.- waaaay too complicated! use the popular picturehoster like imageshack.us or sth like that. this way you can add a thumbnail in your post.



i couldnt play the map online yet either, but i played it with bots offline and here is what i don't like:


- 2 deemers that are quite well covered up... what a dream for campers. i propose to put only 1 redeemer in an open place (like onto 1 bridge) so that ppl cant camp it the whole match through and have to do sth to get the deemer

- the UDamage thingy at the middle node is too deep in the water - one has to swim and cant get out there quickly! being totally exposed there, ppl are easy to shoot down with SR or LG and therefore i'd like to increase the level there or put it on a sandbank or sth like that (like it is done on VolcanoHigh)

- attacking the core is a suicide mission. no place to hide there really. okay it's good for the defending team - but as for me as i like to attack the core when possible - i foresee a lot of deaths with a minimum of damage which will prevent ppl from doing so and camp instead attack the core -.-

- there is wrong blocking volume at those destroyed turrets! i noticed this when i tried to shoot on the other side. the link gun goes through well (???) but when i shoot with SR, the shot hits an invisible wall. very weird. i hope you guys know which spot i am talking about - if not i will add a screenshot later


anyways this is the only critique until now, good job so far!
