i recently bout a rented server and when a tried to add my server it says that i need to install bukkit but i have it installed

You need Minecraft viewer as well

But yea i got same issue

I have Craftbukkit and also MinecraftViewer..

Seems that 1.0 Unstable release has problem..

No - This site doesn't recognize servers even with them installed.

Bukkit is not available for 1.0.0, latest is 1.8.1 beta according http://bukkit.org/ and ya mine dont work because im using redstonehosting.com

anyways having same issue with gameservers.com one as well o.O

Im new and this took me about 30 minutes to figure out. So if you have a server go into the server.properties file in that file you should see
allow-nether=true
level-name=world
enable-query=true
allow-flight=false
verify-names=true
server-port=25586
query.port=25586
grow-trees=true
enable-rcon=false
The highlighted red one is what you put as true, The yellow is what the ports are. Make sure your port is right and you should be fine.
After that follow the rest of the steps it says.
