I might be wrong about you, but in the last year I have been accused often, while I just see a player on the map I go there and kill. I make 3 kills in 4 seconds and I'm a hacker while I just did the right things in the right way. I ensure you it isn't easy but all what I do is whitout cheating. And your accuse isn't nice.


The speed of the screen doesn't depend only from the speed at wich you run but also (and ingame it's easily changeable), from the Field of View. The angle of view, in crysis2 cl_fov and pl_movement.power_sprint_targetfov

Sorry I don't intend making fights or disrespect, I dunno how other fps are but in crysis2 cheating has always be a discussion. I used to accuse of cheat players like WAR_SPIRIT_UK (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nG0Jk-pF8fw) while I was learning the game. Now 2 years later, I'm pretty good and it happens to me. Almost all the time.



I have 1 question, is it possible via the gametracker services to see how many people in total connect to a game during 1week or 1 month?
We are trying to save a game, Crytek sold 1'000'000 copies on humble bundle less than a year ago, and i have the imprssion that there are about 30-40'000 players connecting every month, and with our petitionS we reached just a very small part.

guys I was online in those days, and I see the most players don't know about the petition and the closing.

Now I tell you a second reason why it's important to sign the petition, let say that the game really closes the 30.06,

we are looking for an alternative to keep playing.

At the moment there is Nanowars or Crysis2 beta and connect in other ways.
Who has signed will get info about this, so that we can be enough to play the game.

Every player that signs the petition on change.org will get info (not spam) about the continuation of the game.

Hello everybody, I hope an official solution will come, but we want to be ready with or without BIG Electronic Arts's business.

This topic is to ask you to present the ways to play crysis2 after 30.06.

If you know a good solution please explain it, show pictures/video so that we can talk about it.




The GOAL IS:

1 To present the possibilities here

2 I write to all petitioners to vote the best one via DOODLE

3 We can bring enough people to the new choice

I know with crysis2 beta it is possible to connect without gamespy, do you want to show us how this works? Important is that it is not too hard to set things up. How will be the server list?

Do you know other and better ways? Do you want to release a patch for the game to make it work after 30.06? I also asked Crytek to release an official patch to make this possible.

Nanowars infringes on Crytek and EA copyrights, which is against the forum rules. Please refrain from discussing it or posting links.

As for actual solutions to the problem, there really isn't much that can be done outside of signing petitions and forwarding them to EA. My personal recommendation is to just grab Crysis 3 now that it's so cheap. It plays enough like C2 and is more polished.

I've been reading the posts here for the past few weeks, and I just had to sign up to say that the only solution offered here in this Topic so far was essentially to tell everyone to move on to another game. To me that is unacceptable.

Most of us have already tried C3, so it's not as if we don't know what it's about. I bought C3 when it came out and played the MP for 3 months straight before saying enough is enough and then came back to C2. The experience was not the same and not as enjoyable. For me, C2 has the far better multiplayer.

I understand Rukumuru's personal opinion on C3, and he is certainly entitled to it, but that's not my opinion and isn't the opinion of many of us who want to continue playing C2. If we liked C3, we would have moved on already. That really isn't too hard to understand. We're here because we want to save our favorite game, not move on to something else.

In this case, what I recommend is to show strong support to EA. Make a centralized petition, try to get some good numbers and then mail the petition to EA support.

I'm another one who tried C3 and disliked it. I pre-purchased the game and am still yet to finish the SP mode due to the bad taste MP left in my mouth.
I think one needed to be on speed to actually enjoy it.
C2 I have played since the beginning and I play MP almost every day since.
I believe that EA/Crytek have a moral, if not legal, obligation to support both modes of the game, considering that it was sold and promoted with that intent and purchased for those same reasons.

Don't let the Multiplayer affect the Single player for you. I played the Crysis3 single player campaign all the way through, and it's very good. I felt it was as good as the Crysis2 single player campaign, and the graphics were 100 times better.

The only complaint I had with the Crysis3 single player was that it was so darn short! It took me just 4 and a half hours to complete it! I just couldn't believe it was over that quickly, I was really astounded by its length, or lack thereof. I think it was a shame that a marvelous game like this was so truncated - it could have been an epic adventure had it been longer.

So my advice to you is to separate the shortcomings (no pun intended ) of the MP, and try the single player. It's so short, that if you start it in the early evening, you could finish it right before bedtime.

1 issue is that (if I'm not wrong) since patch 1.9 changes of CVars are not applied ingame.

If it wasn't the case, there probably would be ways to circumvent Gamespy's shutdown. It's all about making LAN or direct ip possible.

The least Crytek could (SHOULD) do would be to release a mini patch that ends this lock, or at least locks related to the intenret connection parts.

They've locked everything, probably to fight the cheaters, but we're a now stuck.

No map editing contrary to Far Cry, no CVars Editing contrary to Crysis, waht was there next purpose ? No settings menu ?

That's exactly what I had suggested in a previous thread. I had proposed that Crytek release a small patch to return (yes, return is precisely the word) LAN capablilty to Crysis 2.

If you recall, Crytek had actually initially developed Crysis 2 with LAN capability built in, but they removed it when they released the final version to the public. This LAN capability can be seen in the leaked Crysis 2 beta. Players were using Crysis 2 beta's LAN feature and were connecting though Tunngle to play multiplayer with each other.

It could be the easiest thing for Crytek to release a small patch to put the LAN feature back into Crysis 2. Now whether they are willing to do it is a whole different story.

Yea the SP is so short, i was like "No, why, there are still questions that are unanswered" xD. Finished the game same as you around 4.5 hours, and MP is bad.
