Sorry to make a new post but everything related to this issue has been locked. I just wanted to reach out and ask you if there is something more on my end that needs to be done with the new server setups that would restore Gametrackers ability to log the player scores on my {OTB} BF1942 servers. If not, then is this just a wait and see situation that will eventually resolve itself by your IT person? Thank you.

Hi,

I had a SOF2 server in Paris since 2020 which was logging all player scores but had lag problems so i moved it to London on the 5th December.
As usual i claimed the server on GameTracker but no tracking of player scores since that date.
I read in the GT forum that the problem has been recognized and that they were trying to fix it.
It seems that all servers which've been running for a while are ok but there's a HUGE BUG for any new servers which are added to GT.
No idea when or if it'll be fixed and if it's not i think my response will be a shutdown.

Here's the relevant response :

Administrators and developers are aware of the issue.

Updates are not provided on bug reports.
A developer will inform us when it is fixed, or ask members for any information they may require to facilitate the fix.

I have been in contact with administrators again regarding this.

Multiple posts, requests for updates, duplicate threads etc. will be deleted without notice.

That was on the 7th November so it must be a BIG problem as it affects all games which use GT

Wow. That's not good. What is really crazy is that I ran these same exact BF1942 servers on GT for several years but recently switched to a new ISP and now have a much faster connection through a direct fiber connection. This is why I had to delete the old servers and make new ones because there is no option in GT to just update the IP they were associated with. I had no idea that GT would not be able to track the players anymore. I understand your feelings about just shutting them down as it is sort of pointless to run them when no players are going to want to play on them anymore. Hopefully their coders will be able to resolve this issue soon.

Yep. I tried all that in vain before finally deleting my original servers, incorrectly thinking on my part, that, that was the cause behind the problem. Whatever the "bug is" it is also affecting the ability to migrate anything. I believe once I deleted my old servers they are gone forever?? One thing that might have bit me in the butt was DNS propagation. I did not take that into consideration. I probably did not wait long enough before giving up.

Yes i've tried everything too.
My old server was closed by Gametrackers.com so i see it as dead.
So, for any prospective new server managers who want to use the option "Player Scores" on Gametracker should think again.
A real pain.

I would be willing to help out with paying a programmer to fix the broken code so that Gametracker can once again track player scores on my servers. Do you have a donation link? Perhaps others might join in as well. Thank you.
