I have unreal tournament: GOTY edition from a while back. I remember using game trackers to join these " private servers " without a problem. Now everytime i add an ip to my list and launch it, Unreal Tournament would crash. I'm currently running a Windows 7 OS. My unreal tournament only launches from the CD for some reason, Would anyone be glad to help me out with this problem? Thanks.
I forgot to mention, When I launch it from the cd and I have game tracker lite open, it reads what im playing. I'm just trying to find a way to make it stop launching another unreal tournament game window and use the current one. |

GT Lite will not allow you to automatically join a server in an instance of the game that is currently running. Close any instances of the game and then join the server.

Hi sneakerbox,
The ".ICD" error sheds some light on what could be happening here. I don't currently have the same UT distro that you're describing, so this is speculation. ".ICD" files are files used by the SafeDisc security technology. You mentioned that you used to have luck with "game trackers" to join private servers. Are you referring to GT Lite? Since the UT distro is rather old at this point, there could be a compatibility issue between the "SafeDisc" technology on your CD, and Windows 7. There could be SafeDisc updates that may prevent the game from crashing. As far as the game only launching from CD - does the game's setup have any install options that would let you change the location? As far as games crashing that you launch from GT Lite. You could try disabling "Track game events" and "Enable screenshots" for any games giving you an error. These options are available under the "Edit Game" option in the "Game Setup". |
