Yep, there's people that do that. And from what I see the same person that did it to Brian is doing it here too. A lot of new no steam player suse the server browser to join servers so that probably why he attacks other server to get people to join his.

The worst part is that he has admitted that people don't like his server, but still wants people to join anyway, lol

If there were something that people didn't like at all in this server, I would remove it. There's no sense on playing on ANY sever that has a bunch of things you hate. That's why I'm always looking for new things to add to the server to make it more interesting/unique. If people hated it, I wouldn't bother doing it.

Alright. The new servers have been running since 2 days ago. My ping is so much better on these servers (before it was around 45-70, now it's from 16-32). But I haven't been able to get them to work with no-steam players.

There is a new no-Steam patch that does work, BUT, if I install that, everyone will need to patch their game as well because this new patch is not compatible with the older ones. The main problem with that, is that with this new patch, you will only be able to connect to servers that have the new patch as well. Most no-Steam servers are using an old patch (which I can't seem to find anywhere for the Windows version, I only have the Linux one that works). I would rather use the old patch sot his way none needs to update their own patch in the game and can still connect to most no-Steam servers.

Does anyone know someone else that runs L4D server on Windows? If you do can you ask them for a copy of the patch they are using. All of the old patches I've found do not work.

Muy bien. Los nuevos servidores han estado funcionando desde hace 2 días. Mi ping es mucho mejor en estos servidores (antes era alrededor de 45-70, ahora es de 16-32). Pero, no he sido capaz de configurar al sevidor para que entren los jugadores que usen no-Steam.

Hay un nuevo parche no-Steam que funciona, pero, si instalo eso, todo el mundo tendrá que parchear su juego también porque este nuevo parche no es compatible con los más viejos. El principal problema con esto, es que con este nuevo parche, que sólo será capaz de conectarse a servidores que tengan el nuevo parche también. La mayoría de los servidores no-Steam están usando un parche viejo (que me parece que no puede encontrar en cualquier lugar de la versión de Windows). Prefiero usar el parche viejo, así que de esta manera nadie tiene que actualizar su propia parcela en el juego y podran conectarse a la mayoría de los no-Steam servidores.

¿Alguien conoce a alguien que se tenga otro servidor de L4D en Windows? Si lo hace pueden pedirle una copia de el parche que ellos usan? Todos los parches viejos que he encontrado no me funcionan.

aun tengo el backup de cuando tenia el l4d no-steam, y la ultima vez que lo use fue en los primeros de diciembre creo

tengo los updates hasta el 1.0.2.4.7 ._.

Tuve otro servidor de Windows antes. Yo había utilizado ese mismo parche en la imagen (el segundo archivo) para parchear un 1.0.2.6. Windows servidor y funcionó bien. Pero ese mismo parche no funciona en el servidor para la versión actual del juego en Windows.
Y la nueva versión de ese mismo archivo, no permitirá a los jugadores que tienen un parche anterior instalado en su juego, connectar a menos que actualicen su parche también, que sé que la mayoría de la gente no va a hacer, porque no son conscientes del nuevo parche.

Creo que la versión rev-emu 1026 o 1027 debería funcionar, pero sólo he encontrado las versiónes de 1023 y 1028.
