The installation process is easy. But before you install the pack, if you would like to free up some space on your hard drive, you can safely delete the following campaigns.

Don't worry about deleting those because those same campaigns are already included in the server pack. So you won't lose them. But if you'd like the keep the separate versions you have, that's up to you.

After you do that, visit the server download page by clicking here.

Download the Campaign/Map pack part and unzip it to your addons folder. Once you have it installed in the addons folder, don't forget to delete the "zipped version".

Now choose a model pack to download and install. You only need one model pack, NOT both. The complete model pack has over 500 characters you can play as. But it takes up 10GB.

If that's too much for you or you don't have the space for it, then install the "Lite" model pack which is only 1.4GB, but it only works on server #1 and only has 59 characters from the complete pack.

You only need to install these packs once. That's it.

The game can't handle loading more than 32 characters at once, so I will rotate different characters that are in the model pack each week, so this way you will have different characters to choose from all the time.

There is also a map warping system. This will allow you to play custom campaigns before, after, and even during a normal campaign. Normal campaigns can now be anywhere from 5-9 maps long, but this will happen completely at random to keep you surprised. When you get warped to another map, you get to keep your health and items. Once you finish that map, you will be warped back to where you left off, or you will skip one map further ahead from where you left off.

None of the Lite Model Pack characters worked for me...

I couldn't get past the gate in the lighthouse. Guro had to spawn me past it. the map didn't end, no rescue came.



Then Guro left because I'm boring And there were tkers that went after me and not her...

The lite model pack is meant for server #2 only, but I may have to change that and make it for both servers.

I don't see why people on Steam insist on setting up a lobby, where they can change the map to The Last Stand on Coop mode. That's a survival mode only map. If that happens again just change to another campaign. I made all 20 versus maps fully playable on coop mode and that's something no else has done. I'm sure there's a way to make The Last Stand fully working on Coop, but it requires some heavy server editing to make you spawn in the correct place, trigger a horde when you start the switch and have a rescue come after the finale fight. It's very possible but requires a ton of work.

You should have access to the admin menu. Just kick those idiot team killers off. And that's the reason for the custom maps, so veterans of the game won't be bored. I know I've played the normal maps more times than I can count.

In the mean time try the models on server #2. I want more feed back on what I should do with server #1 as 10GB of models and 5GB of maps is quite a bit. I wish I could somehow compress all that into less than 2GB and make it work with the game.


By the way, I don't think many people know this, but you can change the game mode to any mode but typing !mode. I added this a while back at Charlie's request because Steam players can change the game mode using the lobby, which is something that nonsteam players don't have access to. And survival mode seems to be the most popular mode among Steam players. So if you ever need to chnage the game mode, just enter that !mode command, but I don't recommend playing versus mode because the super special infected have an unfair advantage over the survivors team.

I'll move the lite model pack to server #1 and the complete model pack to server #2. I will post a link to the complete model pack once I get the chance to upload again.
