Perhaps. At least within the EU:
http://hexus.net/gaming/news/industry/41925-eu-rules-users-can-resell-digital-downloaded-games/ About time. Long way to go before this ruling is tested though... I'm posting this in 415, UPA, B52f and other US forums too, as tho it's only Europe-wide at the moment, I think it'll be significant enough to warrant a US Court ruling at some point. Can't w8 to get rid of some of the junk I've built up over the years ![]() |

I would much like to rid myself of some bad decisions. Game of Thrones (cough), a few others. I would LOVE a refund! Of course I can delete games, but what about "buyers remorse"?

I don't think this was about refunds as such Gav. I haven't read the entire court ruling (who would lol?) but I think it mainly states that once you purchase a game you OWN it. I.E. It's yours to do with as you wish, including the right to sell or trade it (which of course you can't do on Steam, Origin or any other online distribution service AFAIK).
ATM Valve & EA et al, appear to be only giving us the right to 'rent' their games, which legally still belong to them, not us (feel free to correct me, I may be mistaken). Just seems a waste to have so many old titles that will never be played again gathering virtual dust in the Steam Cloud. I'd certainly trade Modern Warfare for, well, anything tbh ![]() |
